Saddam Hussein Saddam Hussein was born April 28th, 1937. He was born in a place called Tikrit District, in Iraq. At the age of 9 months Saddam became an orphan, he was raised by his Uncle, Khairallah Talfah, an anti colonialist, who led an unsuccessful coup and bid for independency in 1941.
